CHSE’s Nishwan Ibrahim chosen as 2014’s best sportsman

Young swimmer، Nishwan Ibrahim has got the first place from Nestlé Milo Colours Awards 2014.
Nishwan who is currently studying in Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has participated in a number of events conducted by Swimming Association of Maldives within the past year. He has also attained records at national level.
Nishwan has also gotten a lot of achievements for Maldives in international events as well.
At the moment even، Nishwan is at the Commonwealth Games to represent Maldives. He renewed the swimming record for Maldives yesterday as well.
At last night’s ceremony، Nishwan’s mother received the award on his behalf. The award was given by the chief guest، Vice President Ahmed Adheeb
While over 100 students received 106 awards from 10 categories at last night’s ceremony، five students received a special award as well.
This year’s ceremony awarded students from 11 different sports. At the ceremony، Education Minister announced that the government has decided to give scholarships to notable students in the field of sports.
Colours Awards is held by Education Ministry in collaboration with Nestlé Lanka which awards students who excel in the field of sports.
Shahudhaan Fahumee of Sharafuddin School، S. Hithadhoo got first place from last year’s Colours Awards 2013.
