Minister of Defense and National Security Adam Shareef Umar has met with Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives, Rajiv Shahare and Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Fu Kang.
MNDF reported that in the meeting held with High Commissioner Shahare was a successful one, with the two reflecting on the long standing ties between the two nations and future projects that can be run.
MNDF also reported that in the discussions held with Ambassador Fu Kang, China had agreed to increase defense cooperation. Additionally, the discussions centered on the strong partnership between the two nations.
State Minister for Defense Mohamed Zuhair and Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid took part in the meeting.
