The opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has sent a message of congratulations ‎to the Prime Minister Designate of Canada، Justin Trudeau، following the Liberal party’s victory in the general elections.
Liberal Party won 184 seats in the general elections of Canada held on Monday.
The Spokesperson of MDP، Hamid Abdul Ghafoor، in his message expressed interest of the party to work with the new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his government.
Hamid further noted that Canada has been a great held consolidating the democracy in Maldives.
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has also sent a message of congratulations ‎to the Prime Minister Designate of Canada، Justin Trudeau، following the Liberal party’s victory in the general elections.
In the message، President has extended sincere congratulations، behalf of the people and the Government of Maldives، to the new Prime Minister and the Liberal party، for the election victory.
