Two people have been arrested from Addu City on suspicions of engaging in prostitution.
Maldives Police Service said the two arrests were made during an operation conducted on Saturday, following a tip-off about prostitution activities at ‘Thilinfaru Beauty Saloon and Spa’ located in Addu’s Meedhoo district.
The suspects were identified as a Maldivian man, Navaal Hussain, 25, Abaadhee Manzil, S. Maradhoo – and a Thai woman, Yonladda Suksuwang, 36.
Both of them have been remanded in custody for 15 days.
The case is under further investigation by the Police.
