Islamic Ministry has made an announcement on Thursday seeking a party to develop a software for nationwide Fitr Zakat collection.
According to the announcement, the software is being developed for Maldives Zakat House’s use.
Only registered small and medium enterprises can submit bid proposals for the project. Prospective bidders have to register before they can submit their bid proposals.
Registration has been completed before 14:00pm next Tuesday via an online form.
The bid submission is scheduled for 11:00am on November 26th.
Maldives Zakat House was established in January of last year with the aim of fortifying the Maldivian Zakat system.
Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said the substantial rise in Zakat contributions—reaching a record amount last year—was the result of efforts by the current administration to strengthen and reinforce the reliability of the Zakat system.
