Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon has refuted the rumours of a Chinese military base being established in an island in the Maldives.
In an exclusive interview with Voice of America on Tuesday، Dunya noted that rumours regarding an establishment of a military base of China in the Maldives are all false.
She further noted that Maldives be committed in further consolidating it’s ties with the other nations for mutual benefit.
In addition، she highlighted that the Maldives’ ties with countries such as India، China، Sri Lanka، Saudi Arabia، and even U.S. and UK are long lasting bonds.
