Home Minister Umar Naseer has revealed that he had instructed Police to implement the monicon order on 10 individuals with ties to gangs.
In a tweet posted to his twitter account, Minister Umar said that the order will be implemented on more individuals in the future, adding that the full force of law will be implemented on such individuals.
Minister Umar added that the Government will allow rehabilitation services to those individuals attempting to leave the world of crime, adding that all necessary measures will be enacted to prevent major crimes.
The recent spate of gang related violence had concerned many. Some gangs have taken to theft, mugging and robbery not only in capital Male’, but resorts as well.
