Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer has said that the agreement to develop Ismehelahera, located near Addu City Hulhumeedoo, is to be signed next month.
The area is to be developed as a 600 bed resort.
Speaking during his trip to Addu City yesterday, Minister Zameer said that he had been briefed of the latest developments of the project by the project manager. The government had already chosen a partner for development. However, no details were released regarding the partner.
Speaking in the handover ceremony of the Gan Airport runway, Minister Zameer said that the project was proceeding as planned. He further said that the legal procedures will be finished by early January and the agreement will be signed soon afterwards.
Senior figures of Addu City had raised several issues to the Minister regarding the delay of the project.
