Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines presents credentials to the President

The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Maldives, Her Excellency Nina P. Cainglet, presented her Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at a ceremony held this morning at the President’s Office.
The Ambassador was escorted in a traditional 'Haiykolhu' cultural procession, accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
The President accepted the Letter of Credence and formally welcomed Her Excellency Nina P. Cainglet as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Maldives.
Following the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador held discussions on areas of mutual interest. The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to Filipino nationals residing in the Maldives, and both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and the Philippines were established on 12 July 1974.
