Philippines Ambassador presents credentials to President Muizzu

The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Maldives, Nina P. Cainglet, has presented her Letter of Credence to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
The ambassador was escorted to the ceremony in a traditional 'Haiykolhu' cultural procession accompanied by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Drum and Trumpet Band.
President Muizzu accepted the Letter of Credence and formally welcomed Cainglet as the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Maldives.
Following the ceremony, the President and the ambassador held discussions on matters of mutual interest and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, Ambassador Cainglet expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to Filipino nationals living and working in the Maldives. Both sides also reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in areas of shared interest.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and the Philippines were established on 12 July 1974.
