GP clinic to open in Amaan Udhares Tower Six under FDC and Hulhumale' Hospital agreement

Hulhumale' Hospital and Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) have signed an agreement to establish a general practice (GP) clinic in Amaan Udhares Tower Six, located in Phase II of Hulhumale'.
The area is densely populated but lacks sufficient access to essential health services. The new clinic aims to address this gap by offering vaccination, child weight monitoring, and counseling services, according to Male’ City Group of Hospitals (MCGH) CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem.

“This will certainly benefit the people greatly,” Haleem said at the signing ceremony. “Instead of going to hospitals for GP services, they can obtain this service from the clinic. If you need to see more specialists, you can get an appointment through the GP clinic.”
Haleem said the clinic is part of a broader initiative to establish six GP clinics across the city, in line with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s directive. He added that work on a clinic in Henveiru will begin soon, and both the Henveiru and Amaan Udhares clinics will be launched together.
He also thanked FDC for its cooperation with the Ministry of Health and other agencies to improve the health sector.

There is already a GP clinic operating in Phase 2 of Hulhumale'. The facility, located in Hiyaa Tower 16, began 24-hour operations on September 21.
Another urban GP clinic was opened on November 19 in the Coral Boulevard building near Rasfannu Beach. The building, originally developed during former President Abdulla Yameen’s administration, had remained vacant for years before being repurposed.
