Over 1,900 Temporary Parking Spaces Allocated in Hulhumale’

Over 1,900 temporary parking zones have been designated across Hulhumale’ to ease Male’ City’s parking problems.
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) said 1,964 temporary parking spaces have been allocated for four-wheelers. Together with the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, HDC aims to improve traffic flow and reduce road congestion caused by vehicles parked along the streets.
Specific allocations include 115 spaces near Masjid-ul-Waalidhain, 254 spaces near Ghazee School, 1,233 spaces near Hiyaa Tower 16, and 362 spaces near the Vinares Flats.
According to HDC, these temporary zones will help ease congestion and offer convenience to vehicle owners and road users while a permanent solution is being sought. The corporation is currently working on constructing parking buildings as part of a long-term solution for Hulhumale’s parking issues.
