Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon has shown that she has no clue of what is happening in the country، says the Official Residence of the Vice President.
In a statement issued on ahmedadeeb.com، vice president slammed the foreign minister and said that the haphazard manner of the government has extended to the international community.
“Yesterday’s premature announcement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs that government was NOT declaring a state of emergency demonstrates that the Minister continues to be overwhelmed by the responsibilities of her portfolio.”
The statement further reads that today’s announcement by the President of a State of Emergency today shows that the minister is lost and has no understanding of what is happening in the country.
In addition، the statement says that foreign minister’s move undermines the nation’s credibility and confidence in the minister.
“It is abundantly clear to all that there is a crisis.”
Meanwhile، Foreign Minister has stated that despite State of Emergency، situation in Maldives remains calm and normal. There are no restrictions for visitors to travel to Maldives.
