Health Minister Iruthisham Adam has said that no person can surpass the law and all those who commit crimes should be punished regardless of who the offender is.
Speaking in DhiTV’s “Habaru Therein” programme about the explosion aboard presidential launch “Finifenma”، Minister said that VP Adeeb is very close to President Yameen and his family and that she works alongside VP Adeeb in a number of works done by the government، so if evidences are found from such an investigation against any person، any citizen، the matter should certainly be investigated and that no person can surpass the law.
“Nobody is above the law. So no matter who the person is، even if it is a person very close to President Yameen، even if it the most trusted person، that person should be rightfully punished for the sake of the rights of all citizens. So far we cannot say that the charges have been proven unless the investigation completes”، said Minister.
Minister said that strict action should be taken against high treason. She also said that perpetrators who participated in this and encouraged this should be found. Minister said that such an act will harm a lot of people and that action should be taken against this.
Last night، the Health Minister also answered back to the criticisms faced by some institutions due to the President’s remarks on certain institutions during the presidential address. Minister said that President did not condemn all of the institutions in his address، only certain institutions and that investigation should be carried out and those institutions should be rightfully penalised afterwards.
Minister said that an institution should not be shut down simply because a certain employee is on leave or has been dismissed، and that the institution can be run systematically even without that particular employee.
