Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid on Monday condemned the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
In the message sent to India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Minister Shahid conveyed condolences and sympathy to the people of India on behalf of Maldivians.
"It was with deep shock and horror that I learnt of the bomb blast in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, that caused tragic loss of life and distress to many dozens of CRPF personnel."
Minister Shahid also noted the strength shown by the Indian people, particularly the bereaved families of the bravery army at this difficult time.
Additionally, the Foreign Minister assured that Maldives is committed to working closely with India and the international community in eliminating terrorism.
