President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent Republic Day felicitations to President Pranab Mukherjee, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India.
In separate messages sent to the Indian President and Prime Minister, President Yameen extended warm greetings and sincere good wishes on behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives,
to the people and the Government of India, on the occasion of India’s Republic Day. He also expressed his hopes for further progress of the existing ties of ‎friendship, understanding and co-operation between the Maldives and India.
The President further extended his good wishes for continued prosperity and welfare of the Indian people.
