Moosa Ali Zameer is very close ally of His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has been appointed as the Minister of Tourism today.
Moosa Zameer took his oath as the Tourism Minister at President’s Office today. Interim Chief Justice، Abdulla Saeed delivered the oath to the new minister.
President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to Moosa Ali Zameer today. He is also a former Member of Parliament of Kinbidhoo constituency.
Zameer also worked as a manager for President Yameen’s presidential campaign. He also previously filled in the position of MD of Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM).
While Moosa Zameer has been appointed as the Tourism Minister today، the steering of Tourism Ministry was temporarily handed over to Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim starting from last week. Before the Ministry was handed over to Thoriq، Environment Minsitry was run under the observation of Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor.
