Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowment,Dau’wa and Guidance of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh SalihBin Abdul AzeezBin Mohamed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikhhas visited the Islamic University of Maldives.
The Saudi Islamic Minister and accompanying delegates werewelcomed by Chancellor DrMohamed Zahir Hussain, Vice Chancellor Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and senior staff of the University.
The Saudi Islamic Minister met and discussed important issues with the senior management and viewed important religious texts translated into Dhivehi.
Vice Chancellor Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed thanked the Saudi Islamic Ministerand Saudi government for his visit to the University with his busy schedule. DrShaheem further said that the University’s vision and requirements were shared with the Saudi Islamic Minister.
“We received positive response from the delegates and our hopes of more assistance from the Saudi Government in future stands strong.”
